Happy New Year from Prayers N Paws
The economy is hitting everyone including our canines. We, at this time, cannot take any new canines in. Last year adoptions were down as many that we took in have special needs and some became sanctuary Dobes with special medical needs that are draining to a rescue. Still we will be there for these special ones as they have been left down by humans before and we want them to know they are loved and safe and have a home no matter how long they need it. With each sanctuary dog we take in is one that we can not rescue and rehome which make your donations even more important than ever. Our main revenue source is adoption fees and, of course, donations.
If you can help us please use the PayPal buttons or click our Donate page to mail us a check or money order. It is only through you that we can continue our rescue and rehome work in the upcoming year.
What's New?
Missing Webmaster
The Prayers N Paws webmaster has been missing this year. One of our founders Dobes - Henry the Red - has dug up a stand in while he sniffs out the location of our old webhound. So by the end of the year our web will be updated again. Seriously the webmaster that has been missing has had many employment, family, and health issues preventing her from doing the web. If you sent updates and still have them please resend - same email address is fine and any current updates. It will take some time to get current but with the holidays coming the end of December should prove a time when updates can be made.
Economic hit
Our donations are down and we are not taking new intakes at this point. When funds are tights for everyone our donations go down as well. Sadly, the need increases and there are folks turning in their Dobes at shelters as they cannot feed them or afford their care and we have to turn them away. If you can spare anything we will appreciate anything you can give.
Home page look odd?
If the donate button is showing in the content window and not the left side under canine pictures it is because you are using something other than internet explorer. This site designed for IE and sometimes it does not like nested sections.
